My Work

The purpose of this series of photographs is to see inside the life of a college student before they walk on the stage to receive their diploma. This photo essay works to not just show things the college student is physically doing, but to tell a story about who they are and what their goals and priorities are. The college experience is subjective and different for everyone, this is why being able to physically see one student's experience is so interesting and important. It not only allows others to see what a student does in their daily life, but it also allows other college students to compare their life with the subjects and possibly reflect on how they spend their time and where their own priorities lie. These photos are from an ongoing long term documentary essay on the journey of one student, Avery Davis, and their journey towards graduation.
